EXP and levels are what allows you to wear certain coords and take part in Special Events in Star Idol Academy and Sister Schools!
EXP falls into one of two categories: "Idol" EXP, and "Student" EXP.
You can gain EXP and eventually level up as you draw art and submit it to the group. Art that is not accepted into the group will not count. See RULES
Level up your "Idol" EXP by drawing your character practicing, performing, or doing any general Idol activity.
Level your "Student" EXP by drawing your character doing any type of club activity or posting pictures from their daily lives.
Teacher assignments tend to be aimed at "Student" Exp, but the Teachers could specify just what kind of EXP the assignment counts towards.
LEVELS
As you gain EXP, your OC will level up! Your level serves as a symbol of status to show how popular you are in the idol world, but it can also grant you access to special perks and events! There are seven levels to achieve at SIA; do your best to rank up and shoot for the stars!

STUDENT vs IDOL EXP
While Idol EXP serves as a measure of your OC’s popularity and grants access to special events, Student EXP is a measure of how well your OC is doing academically! In addition, raising your student EXP can also grant you special rewards!

COUNTING EXP
But if you would like to know how we count it, here is a basic rundown of the numbers we use:
SIA awards EXP based on drawing sizes (how much of your OC is shown in the picture + how many OCs are featured), and Effort applied (whether something is sketched, lined, colored, or shaded, and whether or not it includes a background.)

Effort Applied:
★ Sketch: +0 ★ Lined: +10 ★ Flat/Monochome colors: +15 ★ Shading: +20

BGs will only count if you draw an actual background. P.O.V., Furniture, Buildings, etc. You MUST either draw them yourself, or use one of the backgrounds available in the group's Background Resources folder for it to count.
If you just drop in a BG you googled, or if you just put a solid color in the BG, it will not count as EXP.
SPECIAL:
Some images will receive special bonuses or be counted differently, depending on what they include! Details on these can be found below:
★ Events/Teacher Assignments: +10 ★ Idol Activites: +15
★ Written stories:
Under 1000 words = 50 EXP
1000 - 2999 words = 100 EXP
3000 - 4999 words = 150 EXP
5000 - 9999 words = 200 EXP
10000 - 19999 words = 400 EXP
20000 - 49999 words = 600 EXP
50000 + words = 800 EXP
★ Comics: Counted by effort, just like a normal picture.
EXCEPTION: If there is a duplicate panel, both of the panels will only be counted as one panel.
★ Collaborations: Total EXP is given to all participants in full.
★ Art trades: If your character is in the picture - full EXP goes to YOUR OC. If your character is NOT in the picture - half EXP goes to YOUR OC.
★ Gifts: Half the total EXP for the picture will be given to your character. No EXP is awarded to the recipient of the gift.
You cannot help other people level up by gifting them art.
YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO COUNT YOUR OWN EXP!
All of you can rest easy. We admins will be using a special EXP calculator made by our very own Shini-Illumi
This allows us to use drop down boxes to select what you've drawn and automatically counts the total for us
Saves you the headache and confusion of wondering if you're doing the math right!
Traditional vs Digital
We will count traditional the same as digital art AS LONG AS WE SEE THAT SAME AMOUNT OF EFFORT IS PUT INTO IT.
If your traditional looks like you rushed it, we will put a penalty on it.
If it looks like you traced something and we found what you traced, we will give you a warning, or worse; kick you from the group.
