Teachers and Staff Members are special NPCs that help progress the storyline of our school. Though they do not recieve any EXP, teachers and staff may appear as part of events, interact with students, and have art submitted of their daily lives.

ASSIGNMENTS
The primary purpose of a teacher is to put out assignments. Assignments are special tasks created by teachers for students to complete in order to gain extra EXP. Assignments can go towards both Student and Idol EXP, depending on what subject they are for.
Teachers are required to have a minimum of ONE assignment ready for students to complete. Creating any further assignments is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL. If you wish to create more than one assignment however, you are limited to creating only ONE every 3 MONTHS.
Basic Assignment Rules
• Assignments can go towards either Student EXP or Idol EXP.
• Assignments should match the subject your teacher is teaching.*
• Please take into consideration how students can draw the assignment while making it.
• In the description of the assignment, please make sure to RP your teacher explaining it.
• Typically, assignments don’t have deadlines unless they are part of an event.
*collaboration assignments between two teachers are allowed, in which case you may combine the two subjects of the teachers collaborating.
Things to include in your assignment:
• Teacher's name and greeting.
• The concept/goal of the assignment.
• What category of EXP the assignment goes towards (Student or Idol EXP)
• How the teacher wants students to complete it.

OTHER STAFF
Staff NPCs who are not teachers will not have any assignments/tasks to give. They exist merely to keep the school running smoothly. Staff members outside of teachers may still be drawn, used in stories, interact with students and appear as part of events, but like teachers, they still do not receive EXP and do not have activity checks.
IN-GAME RULES
As teachers are a part of SIA's staff, they are expected to be professional while on the job. Here are a few in-game guidelines to keep in mind while creating your NPC:
DRESS CODE
• The dress code for teachers is business casual.
• No T-shirts or blue jeans.
• Skirts and dresses must be fingertip length.
• Shirts and blouses must not reveal cleavage.
• Shoes must be sensible. No flip-flops.
• Teachers are allowed to wear casual clothing for holidays, field trips. and school events.
• Other staff members will be expected to wear job-appropriate clothing.
CONDUCT
Teachers and Staff Members must behave in a proper manner when working with students, parents, and other teachers.
Common courtesy, respect for others and proper etiquette must apply in the workplace to ensure that colleagues can get along together and work productively. Employees are encouraged to think before they speak and to apologize if they have made a mistake or offended a colleague. Boundaries, both physical and emotional, can help maintain a professional atmosphere. Neatness in the employee’s personal space should be stressed. Harassment, including unwanted sexual contact and jokes, is strictly prohibited, along with bullying (i.e., abusive speech, intimidation, spreading rumors and taking credit for the work of others.)
RELATIONSHIPS
It shouldn’t have to be said, but just in case;
Teachers/Staff Members and Students are forbidden to have private relationships. If such an affair is discovered the teacher will be fired and the student will face extensive punishment.
RESERVING TEACHERS/STAFF
In order to make a teacher or staff member for Star Idol Academy, you will need to reserve a slot by letting us know in the student council channel with the subject/role you'd like to reserve. You cannot reserve a slot that has already been taken. If all slots are filled, then we will not be accepting any further reservations unless another slot opens up.
RESERVATION RULES
• Members are only allowed to reserve ONE TEACHER each.
• Members are limited to 3 staff NPCs each (not counting teachers!) for roles with more than one available slot, members will be limited to one of each. (i..e., if there are 4 janitor positions, members are limited to one janitor each.)
• Once you have reserved a teacher or staff member, you have 3 months to complete them.*
• Make sure you have both the application AND the assignment done before you submit your teacher. (Staff members must only have a completed application Please use the teacher application for teachers, and the NPC application for staff members..)
• All teachers/staff members will be uploaded to the StarIdolAdmin account, so they can remain as staff even after the members who create them leave the group if desired.**
*If you are in need of more time to complete your teacher or staff member, you may ask for an extension, but you must at least show us that you are making progress on them within the first 3 months. If you fail to show any sign of progress, or do not request an extension, you will lose your reservation slot. This is to keep things fair for other members who may wish to make a teacher/staff member, as holding a reservation slot and doing nothing with it only prevents other active members who wish to make a teacher/staff member from doing so.
**If for whatever reason you decide to leave the group, and would like your teacher or staff NPC to be removed, please let us know, and we will remove them for you. If not, your teacher/staff NPC will continue to be used for the group.
Once you have finished your teacher/staff member, please send the admins a sta.sh link to their application and assignment either via group note or DMs on Discord, and we will upload them to StarIdolAdmin for you.
